A stunning Elgin 10 carat rolled gold Art Deco gents watch manufactured in 1951. The case and dial look great and the movement runs perfectly and keeps time. This watch comes with its Elgin inner and outer presentation boxes and a small presentation booklet. A new old stock vintage "deBeer Paris" hand made leather strap has been fitted to the watch so it is ready to wear and enjoy. The watch is triple signed, on the case, dial and movement.
Dial: in very good condition, finished in satin silver with gold coloured Arabic numerals marking the hours. A sunken subsidiary seconds dial is located just above 6 o'clock. The crystal is clean and clear. The dial looks to be factory original and has one or two tiny marks but the condition is much too good to consider any restoration.
Case: 10 carat rolled gold with a stainless back, in very good condition, measuring approximately 23 mm across, excluding the crown and 38 mm from lug to lug.The outside of the cover is hallmarked as 1o carat rolled gold and the inside is
Strap: fitted with a "deBeer Paris" black leather strap which fitted to the watch measures approximately 213 mm from buckle tip to last hole.
Presentation Box: This watch comes with its Elgin presentation box and outer cardboard box. The inner box is in very good condition indeed as for the last 68 years it has been protected by the outer box which has some scuffs but no tears.
