A gentlemans' 10 carat gold filled Memovox alarm watch from Jaeger LeCoultre, manufactured in 1966, in great overall condition and presenting very well indeed on the wrist. This timepiece is one of the later versions of the alarm watch, signed "Memovox" on the dial (not "Wrist Alarm" as with the earlier 1950's models). The elegant classic case is larger than most of the earlier models, measuring approximately 35 mm across. The dial has a sweep seconds hand and an alarm arrow marker on the inner section. The manual movement has just been oiled and adjusted by my watchmaker and is running strongly and keeping time, with the alarm function working perfectly. The watch is signed in three places, on the dial, case and movement. It has just been fitted with a new Hadley-Roma calf strap, this watch is ready to wear.
Case: 10 carat gold filled with a stainless steel snap on back in very good condition, measuring approximately 35 mm across, excluding the crowns. The inside of the rear cover is marked "10K Gold Filled Bezel Stainless Steel Back" and signed LeCoultre. The case shows the inevitable signs of use over the years but no dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to point out to you. The crowns have both worn smooth on the face. I believe they are the factory fitted originals.
Dial: two tone finish, in very good condition and signed “LeCoultre Memovox” The dial has an inner minutes chapter and gold coloured batons marking the hours. The crystal is clean and clear. The dial has just been returned from professional restoration.
Movement: high quality 17 jewel manual cal. K910 movement, freshly oiled and adjusted, running strongly and keeping time. It is signed "LeCoultre" and is wound and set by the lower crown and the alarm is wound and set by the upper crown. Both functions operate correctly. The serial number dates the watch to 1966.
Strap: fitted with a new brown long size Hadley-Roma calf strap.
