A beautiful 18 carat solid gold gentlemans' manual wristwatch manufactured by Jaeger LeCoultre for the European market in c1950, signed on the dial case and movement. It has a larger than average case for the period, measuring approximately 35 mm across. Having been carefully looked after over the years, this watch is in great overall condition, with an attractive case and dial, presenting very well on the wrist. It is running strongly and keeping time.
Dial: in very good condition, finished in satin silver with hours marked by applied gold batons and Arabic numerals. The dial is signed "Jaeger LeCoultre". The hands are in good shape and the crystal is clean and clear. The dial is showing very light patina, considerably less than normally found on a watch of this age.
Movement: 17 jewel movement, signed "Jaeger LeCoultre Swiss" with Geneve stripes, running well and keeping time. The serial number dates the watch to c1950.
Strap: fitted with a lightly used long size 17mm "Stuller" brown leather strap.
