A stainless steel gentlemans' Jaeger LeCoultre automatic calendar wristwatch manufactured by in 1965 for the European market. In great original un-restored condition, the watch has a classic case and dial, presenting very well indeed on the wrist, running strongly and keeping time. The watch was serviced in 2017, has been hardly used since so its next service should not be due for some years. The calendar function operates correctly.
Case: stainless steel, in very good condition measuring approximately 35 mm across excluding the crown and 42 mm from lug to lug. The inside of the case is correctly signed "LeCoultre Co. Swiss . It shows the inevitable signs of responsible use over the years with some light tool marks on the back cover which can easily be polished out but no signs of abuse, dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to draw to your attention.
Dial: factory original satin silver finish with hours marked by applied silver coloured batons. The dial is signed "Jaeger LeCoultre" and bears the Jaeger LeCoultre emblem. The hands are in good shape and the crystal is clean and clear.
Movement: crisp and clean Jaeger LeCoultre cal. K881 17 jewel automatic movement, serviced in 2017, running strongly and keeping time. The serial number dates the watch to 1965.
Strap: fitted with a hand made genuine crocodile calf strap which attached to the watch measures approximately 225 mm from buckle tip to last hole.
