A Longines 10 carat gold filled gentlemans' watch dating to 1955. In great original un-restored condition, the case and dial present very well on the wrist and the movement is running and keeping time. The watch is triple signed, on the dial, case and movement. A new strap has just been fitted and the crystal was replaced recently so this lovely vintage watch is ready to wear.
Dial: factory original with gentle even patina which has beautifully mellowed and darkened the original finish. Gold coloured Arabic numerals and batons mark the hours. "Longines" is signed on the dial together with the famous Longines winged emblem. The hands are in good shape and the crystal is clean and clear.
Case: 10 carat gold filled with stunning lugs, in very good condition, measuring approximately 44 mm from lug to lug and 34 mm across, excluding the unsigned crown. The inside of the case is hallmarked as "10K Gold Filled" and signed "Longines". The case shows the inevitable light marks from careful use over more than 60 years but absolutely no signs of abuse, dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to point out to you.
Movement: cal. 23ZS manual movement with 17 jewels set in solid gold casings. It runs and keeps time. The movement number dates the watch to 1955.
Strap: new good quality brown leather strap which fitted to the watch measures approximately 212 mm from buckle tip to last hole
