A stunning 53 year old Omega fourteen carat solid gold gents manual watch manufactured in c1964. It is in superb overall condition, running strongly and keeping time. The case has squared off semi hooded lugs, set off by a beautiful black enamel dial. The watch has been fitted with a new leather strap, the crystal was replaced recently and the movement has just been oiled and adjusted by Richard my watchmaker, so this fabulous watch is ready to wear and enjoy. It is signed on the dial, case, crown and movement.
Case: 14 carat solid gold in very good condition, presenting beautifully on the wrist. The case is signed "Omega" on the inside of the rear cover and hallmarked as 14 carat solid gold. It measures approximately 34 mm across excluding the signed crown and 38 mm from lug to lug. The case shows the inevitable signs of careful and probably infrequent use over the years but absolutely no signs of abuse, dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to draw to your attention. There is a presentation engraving on the rear of the case.
Dial: in pristine condition,finished in black enamel with applied gold coloured batons marking the hours. The dial is signed “Omega Swiss Made” and bears Omega emblem in applied gold. The hands are in very good shape and the crystal is clean and clear. The dial has just been returned from professional restoration to a high standard.
Movement: Omega cal. 600 manual movement, freshly oiled and adjusted, running strongly and keeping time. It winds and sets smoothly. The serial number dates the watch to c1964.
Strap: generic black leather lizard grain strap and buckle. Attached to the watch it measures approximately 210 mm from buckle tip to last hole.
