The hallmarked case looks great as does the dial. The movement is running strongly and keeping time. The watch is signed four times, on the dial, case, movement and crown.
Case: 14 carat solid gold, in excellent condition having been carefully looked after over the last fifty three years or so. The case measures approximately 34 mm across excluding the signed crown and 40 mm from lug to lug. The crown bears the Rolex coronet. Looking inside the rear cover, it is hallmarked as 14 carat solid gold with a Swiss Assay and signed "Montres Rolex SA Geneva Switzerland". It is numbered 1005 which is the case reference number. The case shows the inevitable light marks from what can only be careful and infrequent use over the years but absolutely no signs of abuse, dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to point out to you.
