Rolex Oyster Tudor manual gentlemans' wristwatch dating to c1969. This lovely vintage timepiece, now some 60 years old and is in great overall condition. The case has a gold plated bezel with a stainless steel back which presents very well, as does the factory original dial. Freshly oiled and adjusted, the movement is running strongly and keeping time. A new strap has just been fitted and the crystal was replaced recently so this watch is ready to wear. The watch is signed four times, on the dial, case, movement and Rolex crown and comes with a Rolex travel pouch.
Case: gold plated with a stainless steel back, in very good condition having been carefully looked after over the years. The case measures approximately 34 mm across excluding the signed crown and 41 mm in overall length. Looking inside the rear cover, it is correctly signed. The case shows the inevitable marks from careful use over the years but absolutely no signs of abuse, dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to draw to your attention. There are no signs of tampering on the back of the case caused by trying to remove it without the correct tools. This is always a good sign as a watch can suffer badly through attempts at amateur repairs. Please note that the watch has not been pressure tested; therefore the waterproof qualities of the case are not guaranteed.
Dial: factory original, in great condition. It bears the the Tudor rose and is signed "Tudor Oyster Shock Resisting Swiss". Applied gold coloured batons with black inserts mark the hours and the hands are in good shape. The crystal is clean and clear.
Movement: Tudor high grade manual 21 jewel movement, signed "Tudor". Having just been oiled and adjusted by Richard my watchmaker, it is running well and keeping time.
Strap: fitted with a new generic black leather strap which attached to the watch measures approximately 210 mm from buckle tip to last hole.
