SOLD JAEGER LECOULTRE 14K SOLID WHITE GOLD Mystery Dial Gents Watch 1956

Jaeger LeCoultre 14 carat solid white gold mystery dial manual gentlemans' vintage watch manufactured in 1956. This watch is a highly sought after and collectable timepiece, in excellent overall condition, running strongly and keeping time. The case has attractive flared lugs and presents very well indeed. The minute indicator is a genuine diamond set in a solid gold casing which rotates through 360 degrees, as it does on a conventional dial but instead of an hour hand, a separate circular inner dial, rotates around the outer section once every twelve hours. A diamond hour marker gives the illusion that the hour hand mysteriously floats around the dial with no immediately obvious anchor point. The watch is quadruple signed, on the dial, case, crown and movement.

Dial: signed "LeCoultre", in superb condition having just been expertly restored back to as it looked when new. It has a satin silver outer border with an inner minutes chapter and a white sunburst textured centre. The hours are marked by applied white gold arrow batons.

Case: 14K carat solid white gold in very good condition with the expected signs of the careful and probably infrequent use this watch has received over the years but absolutely no signs of abuse, dents or any significant scratches. It measures approximately 33 mm across, excluding the signed crown and 40 mm in overall length. The inside of the rear cover is signed "LeCoultre " and hallmarked as 14K solid gold.

Movement: high grade cal. K480/CW, 17 jewel manual movement signed “LeCoultre Co”. Freshly oiled and adjusted by Richard, my watchmaker, it is running perfectly and keeping time.

Strap: fitted with a generic black leather strap which attached to the watch measures approximately 220 mm from buckle tip to last hole.
