Rolex Oyster Explorer 14270 automatic chronometer wristwatch dating to 2000, in great overall condition. This watch has been part of my personal collection for the past three years and I have worn it regularly. The watch comes complete with its original Explorer stainless steel bracelet, presentation box and papers, The case and dial present very well indeed and the automatic chronometer grade movement is running strongly and keeping time. The original purchaser ordered a fluted bezel to be fitted by Rolex instead of the plain bezel fitted as standard to the Explorer model. The watch is signed five times, on the dial, case, movement, crown and bracelet.
Case: stainless steel, in very good condition measuring approximately 35 mm across excluding the signed crown and 43 mm from lug to lug. The original crown bears the Rolex coronet. The case shows the inevitable marks from careful use over the years but absolutely no signs of abuse, dents or scratches of any significance that I could see to draw to your attention. Please note that the watch has not been pressure tested, therefore the waterproof qualities of the case are not known or guaranteed.
Dial: original Explorer dial, finished in black and signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified Swiss ". The hours are marked by stainless bordered luminous batons and Arabic numerals. The Mercedes hands are in great condition and the crystal is clean and clear.
Movement: Rolex cal. 3000, 27 jewel automatic chronometer grade movement, running perfectly and keeping time. The crown action is crisp, positive and screws all the way into the side of the case.
Bracelet : fitted with the original signed Explorer stainless steel bracelet, in very good condition bearing the Rolex coronet on the deployment clasp. My wrist size is approximately 180mm and it fits comfortably. Additional clasps are readily available on eBay.
Box & Papers: the watch comes with its original box and papers all in very good condition.
