Rolex Semi Bubbleback Super Oyster Perpetual chronometer grade fully automatic wristwatch dating to 1952 in excellent overall condition. The case looks great as does the dial. Freshly oiled and adjusted, the movement is running strongly and keeping time. The watch is signed four times, on the dial, case, movement and crown.
Case: made of stainless steel, in very good condition having been carefully looked after over the last sixty two years. The case measures approximately 34 mm across excluding the crown and 40 mm from lug to lug. The crown bears the Rolex coronet. Looking inside the rear cover, it is marked "Rolex Geneva Swiss" and numbered 6084 which is the case reference number. This number is also marked between the lugs at one end. At the other end between the lugs, the serial number 73*****, dates the watch to 1951. The case shows the inevitable marks from use over the years but absolutely no signs of abuse. I could find no dents. All that I could see to draw to your attention for the sake of accuracy is some very small tool marks adjacent to the serrated edge on the back screw in cover. Please note that the watch has not been pressure tested, therefore the waterproof qualities of the case are not guaranteed.
Dial: in excellent condition, having just been expertly restored back to as it looked when new, bearing the the Rolex coronet and signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual Officially Certified Chronometer". Gold coloured batons mark the hours and the hands are in very good shape. The crystal is clean and clear.
Movement: Rolex chronometer grade, automatic movement, oiled and adjusted by Richard my watchmaker. The screw in crown winds and sets the watch correctly. The movement is running perfectly and keeping time.
Strap: generic stitched and lightly padded crocodile grain strap, which fitted to the watch measures approximately 216 mm from buckle tip to last hole.
